Impa Kasanganay continues to dominate PFL tournaments.
On Friday, PFL 2 took place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, and in the main event, Kasanganay scored a first-round TKO over Alex Polizzi in the first round of the 2024 light heavyweight season.
Kasanganay impressed in 2023, winning five fights in the SmartCage to claim the 2023 light heavyweight title and the $1 million prize. And though he fell short in the February PFL vs. Bellator champ vs. champ battle against Johnny Eblen, he had no such issues this time around, hurting Polizzi early and staying on him until referee Marc Goddard jumped in for the standing TKO victory at 3:29 of the opening frame. Kasanganay earned 6 points and looks well on his way to defending his light heavyweight title.

In the co-main event, Rob Wilkinson got right back to his winning ways, running over Tom Breese in the first round. Wilkinson never let Breese get going, pressuring from the outset, and then landing a shoulder thrust to the jaw that stunned the British fighter. Some follow-up knees and punches ended things shortly afterward, earning Wilkinson 6 points in the light heavyweight season.
His post-fight victory speech was not without its drama, however.

As the fight wore on, Collard put it on the former lightweight champion, earning a standing TKO stoppage after a long combination of unanswered punches. In the process, he earned five points in the lightweight season.

In the first fight of the main card, Josh Silveira picked up a quick win over Sadibou Sy due to injury. Silveira went to his wrestling right away, and when Sy posted his right arm out to defend a takedown, his thumb bore the full force of his body weight and immediately dislocated. With Silveira in top position, Sy notified referee Marc Goddard, who immediately halted the contest.
